I have to admit, I don't like being shaved because I hate having itchy and burning skin, which is why I only trim my beard once in a while so it wouldn't look "lazy" and "dirty", but each to their own.

However, I do think that some guys just can't pull it off because they would just look funny or it wouldn't go with their style.
Personally, I've always worn flannels and boots, even though this is (apparently) the "lumberjack" look.

Don't have any problems with my beard. If you have a dense (or thick, you may say) and it's itchy, then your skin is probably not meant for it.

It's just like shaving your head...not for everyone. Some have the head and face for it and others don't. I know a lot of hipsters love the beard. If it is nicely groomed it's a good look for some. A beard should be thick and full, not patchy amd straggly.

I'm growing a beard just because it may make me look good and make me look like my age if not older. I will soon be 30yrs old and if I shaved I would like I'm 20yrs old. Oh yeah, I noticed that I have a ginger beard and it looks awesome

A beard is the equivalent of a lion's mane, a peacock's feather's, a gorilla's silverback. It's a man thing, ladies.

I wear a short beard and I just got told I was "soo cute" by a couple of the women in the office last week, so my beard isnt goig anywhere.

I think alot of women associate bigger, bushy beards with being a nest of grungy looking funk. So I think it helps if you always make sure you smell good.

In Minneapolis there is a definite "yuppie-lumberjack" trend and I think some guys look asinine. There.s a guy at the office that every time I see him I smile alittle because he looks as much as a slave to fashion as any woman.

I'm not much into the whole beard look myself. My husband has a short one because otherwise people think he is much younger than he is, but I prefer him without it.

It's just a trendy thing.... but to me it looks so odd to see a thin young man (especially out running in shorts and a tank) sporting a lumberjack beard... jmo

I call my husband "Paul Bunyan's nephew" lol.

Having said that, some dudes pull it off well and goatees typically are cute.

Most of the beards I see are on skinny emo guys trying to look more manly.

I'm a total schizo with my facial hair. I'll grow a beard for a month, shave it, grow it back the next month. Take it down to a goatee, shave it, grow it back again.

I still have kind of a baby face (albeit getting more wrinkled by the day) so I like a beard. My wife likes it better too and her opinion counts!
