Good news! I've been saving those bustles & hoop skirts in a big box in the attic!

I am a long waisted person. Even the to the waist pants hit me below the belly button, so the current low ride jeans are out of the question. I do not care about fashionable any more. I just want not baggy (lycra) and comfortable.

High waisted 100% cotton jeans
I have a high waist and I love 100% cotton jeans but they are hard to find. I don't want a low waist or mid waist jean like the young girls wear and they let all their fat hang over the waist. It looks gross. With a spandex/stretch mix they don't keep their shape even though Levi's say they do. I have a pair and eventually my knees are sticking out like I have two bumps. Land's End has some but not the variety of sizes they use to and Eddie Bauer went to Spandex mix a long time ago. I quite buying from them. Anyone know where to get the jeans I need? Mine are wearing out and I've lost weight.

Only the younger people want jeans that sit on their hips. That's the fashion now...to let your fat hang over the top. I think it's as gross as guys who wear their jeans showing their underwear

Wrong....I'm 38 and I only wear jeans that sit on my hips. And I don't have any fat hanging over the top.

I'm very sad to hear that.
They're so incredibly unattractive. They turn hot women into ugly 80's flashbacks.
Don't tell me that 80's hair is coming back too.

I agree. Gross. They make even thin girls look like they have a FUPA

Low cut jeans are the stupidest thing that ever happened. Most Americans are too fat to wear them without looking disgusting and now adays, tops are cut way too short to cover up the skin that shows. Besides that, I don't care which expensive brand you buy, the waistbands are always too large as compared to the hip size and I have to have the jeans altered to fit. It is a disaster. Let's HOPE the 1980's-90's jeans come back in style but with the nice tighter, lower leg cut. The best jeans I ever owned are the Gloria Vanderbilts; mostly cotton but with enough spandex in them to fit well. You can always try ebay if you know the older style make and "model".

I think that LL Bean still sells 100% cotton jeans.
