Oh. And I am supposed to listen to advice from someone who is afraid of looking "like a homosexual"?
Who appointed you arbiter of class and taste? Trump?
American men - for who knows what reason - are now obsessed about "looking gay." This is a relatively new form of nuttiness, it rarely crossed guy's minds in the 70s or 80s.
Yeah, I see a lot of that talk here and I don't get it. I'm not worried whether some other guy thinks that of me. I really could not care less what some other guy thinks is or isnt 'manly'.
Nor me its one load of tosh. who cares what anyone wears.. let them look ridiculous if they want.. more to worry about than someones dress sense or no dress sense..
Actually I agree with the OP to a certain extent but I would probably say more like 30. BUT even though I agree doesn't mean I would look at a 30 year old wearing Converse and think any less of him. I don't care what people wear as long as their private parts are covered up (well except for the pants hanging off the butt - I do hate those.)
My youngest son will be turning 31 this month and he only stopped wearing Converse when he ruined his last pair falling off a motorcycle and sliding 100 feet. Thankfully his worst injuries were only bad road rash.
I got three new pairs of Converse high tops for my 61st birthday. Today. I'm not worried that I "look like a homosexual".
In the 70s, I had hair down to my shoulders. I wore tight jeans and when I played basket ball in HS, I wore tight short, shorts. I had platform boots, too. In the 80s, my girlfriend advised me to get a perm at her hair dresser. I did not worry about "looking like a homosexual'. I might have looked silly, but I did not look like a different sexual orientation.
The OP might be surprised about exactly how "homosexuals look". They look many ways. Just as heterosexual men do.
This is a freaky obsession and I am too old to worry about such nonsense. If I were Gay, I would have known at 12, like normal people.
Yeah when you're an adult, you should look and dress like one. People these days want to look sloppy and lazy.
