Naw, I just wear them to keep the hair off my face and sometimes neck, not as a fashion accessory, so I'll pass on the decorative types headbands. I'm appreciative of the woman's style even if she has, maybe, one or two years on me, I'm. I'm still waiting to feel like an old lady in my head, my body feels it, just not my mindset, sometimes I wish to two would match one way or the other. Just this minute, my shoulder, knee, elbow hurts, but for some reason, I'm breaking out in that Sir-Mix-A Lot song. Haven't any idea where that came from butt oh well.

Having lived/work in NY/NJ most of my adult life, my work attire mostly consisted of blacks, navy and grays; black being my favorite color and pretty much still is, but now in FL, it's not practical to always walk around in black, though I still wear it most often when choosing slacks. But I do have two pink dresses and a few shades of pink tops, but you will mostly see me sporting more neutral pallets.

Anyway. Pink Power. I should dress up as a pink power puff for Halloween.

why not ? if you have the coloring and the chutzpah, go for it. I have seen some great looks that partnered those colors. But I think the outfit has to be simple, the colors are the thing. jmo

The rules for older ladies is that they've usually lived enough to know that any "rules for older ladies" are meant to be broken...

When I'm older, I might even wear a bright pink bikini with all my wrinkly parts on display.... Who the heck cares? Avert your eyes if it's painful to look at.

Not perfect, but this 63 y.o. in pink bikini looks better than some 20 year olds out there on the beach...

wow she's hot!!!!!!! isn't that Helen Mearan? (sp?)

Trosa, isn't it a rule in NYC you have to dress dark colors? Kidding. Yes, Florida will be very liberating wardrobe wise.

Sorta, at least in the city, (NYC,) but, most of years I lived, just above the city in Westchester Co. However, I attended my last two years of high school at an all girls school in The Bronx and for one of those years, I was dubbed a whitch, because I chose to only wear black. I say a year, probably was more like 4 months. Boy oh boy, those were fun times.

I am no fashion plate, occasionally I wear a skirt, denim of course, but were mostly jeans and a nice shirt, but what's with the "rules" about what older ladies can wear?
Wait a minute.....

WTF?

Denim "of course"????

Are denim skirts mandatory where you are?

I've never owned one in my life, nor did I plan to...
