It depends what you wear them with. I wear mine with my sweat pants. i really can't see how they can look bad. They are just plain, simple, basic shoes...

Uggs

Crocs

Uggs are sheepskin boots (but much more.) I first saw them in the 70s.
They've been around for awhile.

For those who don't know, Crocs are wide plastic shoes (but much more.) I remember when they first originated in Colorado a few years ago, and they were mostly just in bright, garish colors. Now they are ubiquitous. I could be wrong, but it looks to me like they don't offer a lot of support for the foot, though I do appreciate their wide toebox.

From another board of mostly guys in their 20's and 30's, their current thoughts on Uggs and Crocs, I thought that you'd all like to know:

Fashion stuff that you can't stand....

-Ugg boots with a miniskirt. I see this all the time...even in Seattle when it's 40 degrees out. Seeing that makes as much sense as seeing someone in the artic with a full thermal snowsuit but wearing flip-flops.

- Uggs... No matter what they are worn with, I hate them...

Uggs in general but, Uggs with sweatpants is the worst thing ever and that's pretty much the uniform for college girls in the winter.

i usually only see hot chicks wear uggs so i'm ok with them

2. Crocs. Who ****ing cares if they are comfortable or not, see Maddox.

- crocs. ****ing most retarded thing i've seen in the past 10 years.

-uggs - wtf/ I thought this **** died in a burning fire with those fugly crocs already??

3. Uggs. doesn't matter how ****ing dirty they are, how they make every chick look like a pigeon-toed moron, or how many years out of style they are... they're sportin' em.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I drove by a girl wearing black UGG boots. He exclaimed "how 2002!!" and I asked him what he meant. He told me that they are passe...
LOL! Your boyfriend must be very into fashion. I've never heard a man call a piece of clothing/shoes "passe" in my life, let alone know what specific year something was "in".

It's been snowing off and on all week and in the low 20's and a day has not gone by that I haven't worn my uggs because they are comfy, warm, easy to care for with gross sand and salt from the snow and has some tread to keep from slipping on the soles. Fashion,Smashin. I won't be a slave to fashion, especially in New England in the winter!

I am hooked on mine, regardless. I don't wear them unless it's really cold and snowy though.

Where do you buy them? I want a pair! I've heard the name of Ugg's but didn't know what they were. How much do they cost?
