OP, are you an escapee from the Relationship Forum; one of the young guys there who has never dated; can't get along with women; and blames and tries to trash them at every opportunity?

Who says the girls raised in the faith who are used to all the words really 'feel' it that deeply? Most people programmed into their religion I've known are just used to it in comparison to someone who converts and takes it deeply serious. So if they are teen girls who go to church like they go out on on Friday night might not feel that deep feeling for chastity or whatever the OP is meaning.

And I love Uggs. Boots of any kind, but especially over jeans. The pair I'm wearing are about worn out but I'll fix the soles so they can be lived in for another three years. What I most want is ugg like boots which come up to the knee and lace. Warm and cool. Not christan, by the way.

If yoga pants are "sexy and revealing" then Mrs. NBP is shopping at the wrong store for them.

As a guy who was exactly in your shoes when I was 18 years old, I think I can explain this.

I attended a conservative Christian college... although it wasn't exactly "on the other side of the country", it was far enough away that it may as well have been another world. I grew up relatively conservative and I had hoped to find people of like mind at college.

What I found was a pretty wide mixture... and I have come to understand why.

First of all, allow me to pose a question to you. Exactly how "Christian" are you? How strongly conservative are you? When I went to college, I thought I was pretty conservative... although I was functionally agnostic at the time as I had been questioning God and His motives since around age 15. Then I "became Christian" at age 19, if you want to call it that, although again, I was nowhere near as conservative as I am now.

Many people grow up thinking they know it all. What 18-year-old doesn't think he/she knows a lot... certainly more than his/her parents? The truth is that few of them do.

Look at the number of people who claim to be Christian and yet support homosexuality. The Bible speaks very clearly against homosexuality, and whenever marriage is mentioned, it is defined as being between one man and one woman. Yet, many "Christians" disavow this notion.

Look at the number of people who claim to be Christian and yet have sex outside of marriage. The Bible speaks very clearly against this as well, but many such people do it. (You want a shocking statistic? The most conservative, and most "Christian", state in America is Utah. You'd think they have a few things right, also... the state where the least people smoke is Utah. But... the state with the most online porn site subscriptions per capita is..... you guessed it..... Utah. All is not as it seems. They're sinning in private if not in public. The Bible speaks out against lust in the mind, and yet these people are indulging it constantly.)

I could go on and on, but you get the idea. One of two things is true - either these people are completely unaware of what the Bible says on these topics (which is unlikely if they're "Christian enough" to be involved with church of their own volition as late teenagers) or they think that they can pick and choose which parts of the Bible they wish to obey (which is heretical).

Don't kid yourself.... check this out.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it." (Matthew 7:13)

. . . . . MANY enter through the wide gate that leads to destruction. Want to know something about the "many"? Here goes:

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' " (Matthew 7:21-23)

In fact, if you read through the entirety of Matthew 7, including the part about false prophets, you will be enlightened about what is going on around you.

The fact that you are saying "I don't think this is right" means that you're on the right path. The people around you appear to be ignorant or rebellious. Many a time has it been the case that someone who is brought up in the church will rebel against it, for any of many reasons. At college, I saw people come in as straight-laced, clean-cut, can-do-no-wrong 18-year-olds... and within a year or two become one or more of the following: smokers, drinkers, drug users, promiscuous, partiers, snotty, etc. They rebelled against being "good" and figured they'd be individualistic by being "bad".

Keep the faith, bud. Remember, when you think that the world is winning, or that people are calling themselves "Christians" but appear to be selling out to the world:

"What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done." (Matthew 16:26-27)

Hey brother, these girls either are too spiritually immature to know that creates lust in their brothers or they just don't care. If it is the first, hopefully they will grow and learn they don't want to make their brothers sin. If, it is the second , and they just don't care, they are not really living the christian life much anyway. It is a beautiful thing to see a pretty woman with a nice body that dresses modestly and is thoughtful enough of herself that she doesn't dress to draw attention to her.
Yes, Keep the faith bro, you will meet a girl that is modest and loves God, you are only a freshman, so plenty of time to try to keep your mind on studies and not the girls! ha!

Who cares what it is? If they are willing to show, take in the sights! If others consider that to be devilish, then I'm gone to hell a million times over.
