As a guy now in my college frshman year, I'm going to a school that's in the opposite part of the contry as I'm from. My parents suggested that I try to meet people by doing some volunteer things, especially with some church people. So I have. I grew up on the conservative side, and didn't know any religious people growing up. I always thought that Christian girls were sort of the same. But I notice that most of the girls my age at this church, even when representing their church by volunteering, wear these sexy, revealing type clothes like these black yoga pants with uggs and such. I've tried to just not notice or feed their ego, but dressed in those, I turn and I'm always like O...O...O! And then sometimes they give me this poker face that's unreadable. It's really frustrating! I don't think dressing in those like that is right, for doing church stuff, is it? Christian girls dressing like this? Is that Christian-like? I don't think it is!

Why would you think that all "Christian girls were sort of the same" any mnore than any other types of girls? Why wouldn't they dress in a way that is fashionable where they are?

And why the frowny face?

And if you aren't interested then what business is it of yours?

well there is legalism and then there is freedom- all in any church are sinners and only by His grace do we get IN-- so in due time- all mature and followo HOW it is Goid wants them to talk, dress, eat, drink or not etc etc,,, that's is HIS job and the pastors giving a good word to follow.. so stop looking down please,, it falls under the beam part..

Freshman in college, so what at least 18-19 right ? Well to most a womans shape is not all that horrible, and has been considered an art form. And being Christian and all, isn't judging someone bad ?

Is your previous church experience in a mainstream Christian community, or one that requires a dress code? I am curious what that dress code entails.

The way you choose to dress has nothing to do with your religious devotion. I can personally attest to this statement.

And if you think black yoga pants and uggs are "revealing", then you are in for a surprise. I call that fully covered. Go to a night club in Goa or Mumbai to see what "revealing" actually means (and this is in a ultra conservative country BTW).

Do you actually not know that a Christian girl might belong to any number of doctrine types? Except you posted in the fashion and beauty forum. ?????
