Like the title says, why are Nordic women so beautiful? Is it diet, genetics? Maybe the cold weather caused them to develop smaller more delicate facial features? Anyone know?
It seems that in the past 10 yrs or so, i see more models in magazines from Eastern Europe than Nordic countries. Are E European women the 'look' nowdays?

Cold=contracts
Heat=expands
That is actually true; we found ourselves for 3 months in Germany a few years ago during winter and I lost 8 pounds. When we came back home to Florida within a few months I got my 8 pounds back. Not thrilled about it, but because when it is really hot outside you're not so inclined to go out, so you end up indoors not doing much of anything. At least I am not inspired to exercise when it's hot.
But in Europe in general not just Sweden, they understand moderation much better than we do, and don't fry everything with tons of butter either!
I met a woman from Sweden, and learned quite a bit from her. She treated men well, but her life did not revolve around a man. She would take off her clothes for any reason, nudity was no big deal. Men were constantly chasing her. Yet, she was very independent, and an excellent skier, her cooking was awesome, she rarely wore make up, usually wore jeans and a sweater with boots, her hair was usually in a ponytail. Not fancy at all. She worked out every day. Ate mostly fruit, unless she made a special dish. She did not work to get a man, impress him, or anything else. She had a lot of self esteem. If a guy did not call her, she really did not care.
American women could learn a lot from Northern European women.

Then how did I end up losing 17 lb during my 8 week trip to India during the summer. I swear, I never worked out and did not even follow a regular diet schedule. It has more to do with lifestyle than temperatures.
In India, you are required to walk quite a bit in heat and humidity. Try walking 1 mile to home from the bus station when its 101 F with a DP of 87 F. Do this every day for 50 days straight after a long tiring day at work, and you will see a reduction in weight without diet or workout. Americans have to be willing to go through some discomfort if they want to stay healthy in hot weather.
I am least inspired to work out or even leave the building when its cold , so colder climates make me a fat bear.
