Generally, every 3-6 days. Occasionally longer, but not often. Never more frequently, because unless at least three days pass it tears up my face too much. In practice, 80% of the time it's after 4 or 5 days.

I have a goatee which I've shaved 2 or 3 times in the past 15 years. I haven't shaved my mustache since I was 21 (I'm 44 now).

Happily, I haven't had a job where it was an issue in almost two decades. If I have a particular need to be clean-shaven on a certain day (attending a wedding, important meeting at work, etc.) I plan ahead and make sure I have at least 5 days worth of growth before that day - the 5-day mark is when I start getting the closest, cleanest shaves.

I shave every day, having the goatee give me less face to shave, which can speed things up a bit.

I like to be clean shaven. The beard does not make the man. The man makes the beard. Growing a beard does not make you manly.

Why limit it to men?

Maybe, but his own post does....It's exactly his personal experience. You can always do your own based on your personal experience.

They expect you to be clean shaven not shave every day. For some people, a clean shave lasts for quite a while. I worked in a professional environment as an Intern, so I do know for a fact that not all men above 30 shave everyday to be taken seriously. I used to shave every 5 days back then to maintain a clean shaven face.

I haven't shaved in a little over three years. I don't need to.

I shave every day because I have to for my work. When I don't shave, I grow a beard in about a week. If I could, I would just grow a beard and be done with it. Shaving is a pain.

I have a beard and just shave the neck and part of the cheeks, so every other day is fine. It's surprising how many of the men at our location of 600 people have beards. I might do it more often of not for the ripoff that is razor blade prices. Now I use disposables from Costco, and get 4-5 shaves out of each.
