Women have purses. Men do not. Men have stuff to carry around too, why bother using something you can lose?
Why everyone doesn't have cargo pants is beyond me.
I really don't get the who "in" thing. Why can't we just wear what the hell we want to wear?
I wear cargo pants because they are useful. Function > everything.
Yes, they are and you can see it by going on to the sites of various clothes retailers. I figured out some time back that if you just keep wearing something, it will eventually come back in style. Cargos are utilitarian and forgiving.
In contrast, 95% of the population looks ridiculous in denim jeans. I include myself in that category, by the way. I know some of you think you look fine, some great, in jeans. You do not. I do not. The 5% have curves in the right places and jeans accentuate them. The rest either have no curves or have curves in the wrong places and jeans accentuate all these deficiencies. On top of that, I've never had anyone explain how denim is more comfortable than cotton or corduroy or linen or silk.
How about you wear whatever the f you want. It's YOUR business and not some Will and Grace cast member's business what you do, or wear. If we are "strong" enough to waste time passing laws to prevent discrimination of gays (did we really need a law, wasn't that always the case) certainly this country can "survive" the onslaught of cargo pants?
Who the f cares?
Insert emoticon here jumping up and down and clapping.
If we're talking only cargo pants then I guess they could've been out of style, but cargo shorts have never been out of style as far as I can tell. Guys have been wearing them forever, it seems.
I agree that cargo pants/capris for women seem to have increased in popularity in recent years. I see them all the time now and didn't even know they existed just a few years ago.
My husband wears them from time to time for work (he's DoD, former military). He can't wear actual military uniforms since he's a civillian but he is "in the field" with the military so has the same needs. He doesn' wear them out and about though since they aren't very flattering and look sort of sloppy (baggy pockets).
I feel for guys though - I've got my purse for all the stuff I haul around. There's a lot of stuff in my purse that isn't make-up or tampons, LOL. Cell phone, wallet, sunglasses, tylenol, chapstick, emergency snack , bottle of water, keys, sunscreen, etc...
