I keep seeing more guys wearing them these days. They used to be wildly popular I remember in the 90s, then faded out a bit in the 2000s. Are they making a comeback? Sometimes I do think they look better with a pair of boots than jeans.
As long as they're not made of parachute material (remember THAT?), I'd wear them. And I'm not a guy. Actually you can still get cargo shorts around here in the summer, I have a couple pairs.
Grown men should not wear cargo pants unless they are going to Afghanistan or feed the elephants in the African plains so they can stuff stuff into those pockets. Or you can be Napoleon Dynamite and store tater tots

Just curious why can't grown men wear cargo pants?
How about you wear whatever the f you want. It's YOUR business and not some Will and Grace cast member's business what you do, or wear. If we are "strong" enough to waste time passing laws to prevent discrimination of gays (did we really need a law, wasn't that always the case) certainly this country can "survive" the onslaught of cargo pants?
I wear them all spring, summer and fall. Who cares about fashion, they are useful and convenient to carry my wallet, cellphone, IDs, home keys, truck keys, tractor keys, work keys, gum, and checkbook. And in airports, I can also shove my passport in there. I don't know how people manage without cargo pants.
