I don't normally post in this forum, but I am looking for some shoes made for a wider foot. I am male who has slightly wider than average feet and I'm having trouble finding shoes that look cool but feel comfortable. I hear people say vans and converse fit wide but does anyone have any experience with wide shoes?

There are plenty of stores that carry wide sizes. In running shoes, Asics and New Balance shoes can be readily found in wide size in stores.

check out catalogs for big men's clothing and find out what brands of shoes they carry for wide widths that you like the looks of. Then see which stores in your area carry those brands if you don't want to order online.

My husband wears a wide shoe, we have found Clarks make a wide fitting that is very comfortable. For a more sporty shoe hes found Merrell wide fit nicely too.
We found zappos has a good selection of wide fit shoes and as a bonus shipping is free both ways.

You need a show in a wide size not just a shoe that is made loose. In a wide size, the last Last - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is made anatomically wide.

Www.zappos.com has shoes in widths up to F. I have used them for years.

Online Shoes, Clothing, Always Shipped FREE | Zappos.com

I always order from Zappos--jerseygal4u--I've found some cute shoes there by Sofft--I haven't looked in a couple of years, but at one time they had a LOT of different heels in wide.
Shoe stores around here rarely have anything in wide, so I have to order online.

New balance has the best athletic shoes in wide sizes. I use a 4E.

They also have a 'dress shoe' line called "Dunham" that makes wide sizes too.
