Not sure how or why this trend started but to me bowties are never cool if you are over the age of 10 years old. Why can't you just wear a damn tie?

Some of us (well, our menfolk) have always included bowties in their wardrobes. It is a very preppy, country club, Southern thing and always has been where I live.

My son has a nice collection of bowties and enjoys wearing them and my hubby will haul one of his out every so often, as well.

This is nothing new . . . some people are just discovering bowties so I guess to their social groups, it may be "new."
