In my opinion, calling a guy "chubby" is equivalent to indirectly criticizing him for being a fat slob (I call this veiled insulting). It implies that he has little to no attention towards physical fitness. What are your thoughts. Do you also feel that calling a guy "chubby" indicates something unattractive about his physique.

For the Record, I always HATED being called chubby. But it is the bitter truth.

Chubby could just mean a few extra pounds. I use it in a completely scientific way. I'm not trying to insult anyone. I call puppies chubby. It's almost endearing sometimes. I think the fact that you take it so personally, says a lot about your own insecurities.

I find chubby men attractive, so for me it's a compliment. I would never call a man chubby though, because I doubt he'd think of it as a compliment.

I don't think 'chubby' is very derogatory. I actually like chubby men.

No, it's a word just like any other, and you choose the way it affects you.

well, if you are fat then what are people supposed to say? chubby isn't a good thing to be, but if you are fat then chubby is a nicer way to put it.
