Advice please! My lovely new guy has invited me to a birthday party for one of his workmates.

These are professionals and I gather it will be subdued, although he said there will be dancing. None of us are 20 years old.

Guys, how would you like a woman to dress that you will be introducing to your colleagues at a party?

Yeesh. No pressure, right?

Sleazy is how I would like her to dress.. But for this occasion it's class and wife like. If he invited you to the party he likes you. So don't mess it up. No pressure.

Slacks!? My grandmom wore these.

Wear those cute longsleeve dresses with a belt. Nice brown or black boots. A long necklace or pretty scarve, stud earrings, long coat, hair partially up and down, nails done, and smell nice.

I know, that's it exactly! Besides it's freezing out and there's deep snow, and I don't want to get all fussy with the shoes / hair / nylons, and look like I'm 'trying too hard', but also, what if all the women there are dressed to the nines and I show up in lumberjack-wear (this is Maine).

And it's out of town and I'm staying in a hotel, so will have to bring everything with me.

(anyway, it's a good problem to have, I guess)

Is there a way you can show him two options and let him pick? Guys have always liked it when I asked them to do that.

Well then just ask him what kind of event is it. That way if you under or over dress it's on him. Good luck. Go reel him in if he's a keeper.

HAHAHA Ok ok my last wife would have worn baggy sweats, so I guess I'm a little out of touch with women's fashions HAHAHA
