Sure! And quite often a person that looks clean cut, preppy, and well groomed can be a very bad individual. One should never judge others based on looks.

I think the term trashy is in the eyes of the beholder. And quite often those that call others trashy are even worse as people. They are simply projecting their own inadequacies on others.

So how can a person that has been conditioned to see tattoos in a negative light overcome this view?

I suspect this is done by socializing with tattooed people, but this is not always easy as tattooed folks may not travel in the same social circles. However, knowing that there are millions of nice tattooed people would help tremendously.

But, there is always the question: Why a tattoo? This may be crucial for someone that would never consider a tattoo.

It works out well. You get to easily pick out the stupid people that will judge someone on the basis of having a tattoo.

According to our poll that is more than 50% of the people you encounter.

Who wouldn't date a person if that had a LOT of tattoos... not if they had A tattoo... or even more than one tattoo.

Reading is fundamental.

I could live with a small discrete tattoo. That edge may actually be sexy.

The question is if you would date someone. Not make a judgement about their character.

I would date if she is attractive and if the tattoos are very discrete.

Would I want the mother of my children to be covered by tattoos? Absolutely not!

Then find a woman without any.

Why is this such an issue?

I mean, I'm 'covered' in tattoos and I probably wouldn't want to date someone with your attitude...so there is no chance I'd ever want to be the 'mother of your children'.

So... again, why worry?

I think the real question is:

Some people decided to have tattoos on an impulse in the past and now wander if they would be acceptable date material to folks that are not into tattoos.

There is no single answer. Some people will never date a tattooed person. they simply don't have the stomach.

Others don't care if they truly fall in love. However, others may not create the opportunity to fall in love because of the tattoos.

Others may grow and accept tattoos.

Tattoos create a lot of issue even if they are extremely common.

Then that's for the person with tattoos to consider.

My tattoos were NOT impulsive, but were extensively planned out for years before I got them. If someone doesn't want to date me for them, that's really their problem and they can go find someone else to date. Most men won't date me based on my height or other physical issues I have no control over so really, tattoos aren't a big deal to me.
