The standard of beauty in the world derives from primarily European features.. some Asian features often adds a touch of 'exoticism' to the base standard (especially Japanese) but that only re-inforces the rule.
If anything, except for a softening of skin color, these standards are spreading in dominance as evidenced by the prevalence of such features - like an aquiline nose, silky hair, high cheekbones, larger eyes, stronger chins - that are almost always present in non-European "lookers". The full-blooded aborigine - not a racially mixed version - will not make an appearance anywhere in a Miss Universe pageant... ever.
Perhaps the standard will relax over time, but right now the trend is actually in the other direction, as very pronounced non-white racial features are de-valued as globalization and its hand-maiden, advertising, create a cookie-cutter world.
Yeah and that's why plastic surgery is so popular in South Korea. It's obvious, and many admit, they want more 'European' features because that's still the standard of beauty. Even the 'hot' black, Asians (except maybe Lucy Liu, but i really don't get how she's considered attractive) are either part white or have more typical 'Caucasian' features.
But, the black men and women that are considered attractive often have a high European blend.
How do you know that without a DNA analysis? Are you sure you are not confusing marketability (a commercial factor) in a white dominated market, with attractiveness?

Come on, it's obvious. It's obvious Beyonce is not 100% African, I'd bet almost anything a DNA test would prove that. Halle Berry, that one is known...Will Smith, the guy from CSI.

The "percentage" doesn't actually matter. But the features that the "attractive" people do. There is a clear "hierarchy" where conventionally "white" features are considered better than non-white ones. Particularly around lip size, nose shape and skin tone.

That doesn't prove that blacks with the highest "European blend" are the most attractive, but they are probably just the most marketable since they tend to have lighter skin tones.
Not sure how this is true considering it is very common for white males to be portrayed as either evil or bumbling, unfashionable, awkward idiots, and black and brown men as heroic, intelligent, level headed, etc.

Look around your city, look at your neighbors, not at the movie screen, or at air-brushed photos. Are all, or even most, of those you see who are of European decent, attractive?

Attractive is partly subjective, but aren't they the most marketable because they're the most attractive? Most non-black men and black men seem to have a preference for lighter skin and less extreme African features like a wide nose.

Look at my earlier example of attractive Asian males. They will not be offered many roles because they are Asian.
Attractiveness is a very large part of marketability in Hollywood, but it's by far not the whole ball of wax.
