Yep, this.

My genetics involve a high propensity for fair skin and moles on both family sides, and I've got lots. One is on my face and it is likely more prominent than most people would prefer. I have had people ask me why I don't just get it removed, which is really quite a rude thing to ask, honestly. I don't hate it, but I don't love it, either. Like having wide hips and tall stature and wavy hair, it's part of who I am. I've lived with it for 30+ years, it's part of my face, and due to having had various mole removals due to precancerous concerns elsewhere on my body, I know that I scar badly. I would rather the mole than a scar. Add to all that the reality that removal would be considered cosmetic, as facial moles almost always are, and I'd have to pay for costly plastic surgery out of pocket, probably additional plastic surgery to handle the scarring factor...spending a lot to get rid of something that I'm pretty used to just seems silly.

I view moles and lumps as imperfections and do not understand why anyone would call them beauty marks. What do they add to a person's attractiveness?

OTOH, a mark that looks like a freckle wouldn't turn me away from an otherwise attractive woman.

I don't care if I have imperfections. Everyone does.

Freckles aren't just pretty, they are darn right sexy. Love a woman with freckles. Red heads, Rashida Jones, Olivia Munn, Giselle Bunchen, Lucy Liu, Rachel Bilson. All sexy freckled women.

My wife has a small mole kinda like Cindy Crawford, but it isn't really that noticeable because of her dimples. Doesn't bother me, but it doesn't turn me on either. Small and/or tiny level moles aren't that bad, but when you get big ol protruding moles that stick out like tiny planets on the skin, or when they have hair growing out of them, or when its a whole lot of moles then yuck.

And removing mine (which weren't all that big) made me scar which made me far uglier and probably decreased my already small dating pool by 50% or more.

As I said, if I could do it all over again, I NEVER would have had them removed.

Of course, I already have a bunch of other surgery scars so I'm guessing my dating pool is in the 1% range anyway.

I googled Images "Facial Moles" and there were so many gross ugly pictures of people's large moles I almost threw up. I would have a hard time looking at these people or being them! OMG!

Yes, shockingly, I somehow managed to get dates, be in relationships, and get married, all without consenting to plastic surgery. People even manage to look at me without throwing up! Mindblowing.

Are you going to pay for her to have them removed?

Can you believe the disgusting responses here? I think I am going to have to bow out of this so-called 'beauty" forum, I can't believe the ugly attitudes of some of these shallow, superficial people.
