So I guess my position is:
"Any man, not in performance, who wears make up is quite likely gay."
And its corollary :
"Straight men, except in performance, don't wear makeup."

Neither statement implies that ALL gay men wear make-up.
And despite Chiroptera's snarky little comments, these "opinions" are not born from a need on my part to feel "comfortable" about make-up on men OR gay folk.
Your cute little opinion is duly noted and filed appropriately.

Men that use make up are just feminine men.
Feminine men who happen to be gay. No straight man (off stage, off camera) wears daily makeup...ever.

Hmmm...narcissistic does not come to mind for men who sport make-up.

Are we talking an entertainer or the avg Joe who is into the punk lifestyle (for example)? Hey whatever rocks your boat, but I live in a city where we experience just about everything so little surprises us. hehe

No. The only men that I know who wear makeup are either gay or entertainers of some sort.

I've known straight men who have worn makeup. It has nothing to do with sexuality except that most straight men might feel too repressed to try it.

I wouldn't assume narcissistic, no. Just too effeminate for my personal liking in a man.

What about skin bronzers that make someone look tan? Half of the men in New Jersey use that stuff daily. Is that considered makeup? How about some of the hair loss coverups that men use to conceal bald spots? Is that considered makeup? I don't think these are all gay men doing this.
