I have a really nasty habit of cutting the dead skin off my feat with a toenail clipper. I've been doing it off and on for the last couple of years and can't seem to stop. Whenever I see that really hard and dry skin on my feet, I just have cut away. I know it's probably making the calluses even worse. Does anyone else have this habit?

I think this dry winter weather has made my feet especially dry. Should I start getting regular pedicures? I bought a foot grater from the drugstore a while back and it didn't seem to do anything or my feet. Can anyone recommend a good foot grater like the ones they use at nail salons?

Are there any other ways I can keep my feet really smooth? Applying regular lotion to them really doesn't work. Should I just get Vaseline?

I'm surprised you haven't given yourself an infection. Just get a pumice stone and use it in the shower.

Yeah, I'm surprised too. I have made my feet bleed quite a few times though. Does a pumice stone work that well on really hard skin?

use a lot of vasaline. use a loofa in the shower, and rub firmly with towel when you dry. apply vasaline generously and wear thin cotton sox. the thick sports ones seems to absorb moisture which you need. cutting makes it worse. following the regiment regularly has improved my feet tremendously.

You can buy those feet tools online. The metal "shaver" tool is called a rasp.
