Oh sure we do. We had a phrase for it back in Jr. High , the "three finger gap" ...we didn't really know what or why we were drawn towards it though.

As an adult I really don't care...although my wife has it..

You hit the nail on the head. I did not want to mention that two/three finger rule of measure, but it was noticed. I guess by nature we figured a gap has to be filled? That brings back old memories.

you women are bringing it on yourselves. You came up with this thigh gap obsession, not us. You also came up with the obsession with looking like you just survived the holocaust. We men like a little meat on the bone, always have always will.

hmm, neither I nor my friends ever noticed it nor cared about it.

We noticed a great booty, legs and chest though. For sure.

This is nothing new. Growing up on the beach in SO CA several years ago all of us had a gap. We really didn't have to do anything to keep the gap as we got plenty of exercise.

To me it's less of a "beauty topic for women" and more of a "leering topic for men"!

I hope it helps you women realize that you're the one doing the scrutinizing. Think about it the next time that there's a body-shaming term that guys aren't even familiar with.

You all realize that the thinness obsession was created by the fashion industry, which is almost exclusively dominated by men (some straight, some gay, but still men). It's because it makes their CLOTHES look good. The taller and thinner a model is, the better the lines of the clothing and how they lay. Just like a hanger. Which is why the women look like....oh yeah, hangers.

I really don't notice many grown women obsessed with or striving for the "thigh gap" ...mostly teen girls and young 20 somethings. Not a single friend of mine is trying to get a thigh gap. Are many women trying to be thinner all over? Of course.....but the thigh gap is mainly a teen trend.
