OP, PatanjaliTwist. if you have had melanoma stay the hell out of the sun. And, yes, I am going to use up the Jergens and its a good color for me if i use it every other day. every day and im too orange. Im a northern european redehead so yeah...orange clashes! lol
I will let you know if i find anyhting better.
I have skin damage from sun exposure when i worked on a mini series in the desert for 3 months and will never willingly expose myself to sun again. Gypsychic is obviously of a much darker heritage ( perhaps italian or latino) and that makes all the difference for sun exposure. And i would LOVE to see actual factual scientific studies saying more people get cancer fromusing sunscreen??!!!
Right^ Advising someone who has had melanoma to go into the sun is terrible advise. I'm fairly dark and I have damaged my skin beyond repair going years with out applying sun screen when I should have.

I currently use L'Oreal Sublime Bronze tinted self-tanning lotion in medium/natural tan, whose color I like as it's subtle & doesn't leave an abnormal orange color on the skin & it also leaves subtle gold flecks on the skin, which I like... however I cannot stomach the strong smell. Even after numerous baths, I can still smell it... & I only use it on my legs... so I'm guessing if I can smell it (even after a spritz of pricey perfume), so can others.

I also use Jergens Natural Glow in medium to tan & that smells even worse. Again, I bathe 1-2 times daily & reapply every other day... but, the smell is rancid... I virtually smell that chemical smell all day, everyday.

I didn't really want to enter a debate on not wearing it... I'm so white, I virtually glow in the dark... I cover my legs in a bit of self tanner only as women don't wear hose here & I feel I'm too stark white. As an aside, I'm still struggling with proper interview etiquette... nylons or bare legs... but, that's another post. So... does anyone use a self tanner they like (OTC, as I don't wish to pay for pricey salon services & also only cover my legs)?

I've heard some say FakeBake is good, but it is $25/tube, treble/quadruple what I currently pay for the others. I'll gladly pay the price if it doesn't leave a strong after smell, but wanted to see if others have any positive feedback on using it.

Any self tanners on board?

hey I found Leg Make-up @ Walmart. It is fabulous!!!

What kind? I found some at Walgreen's by Sally Hansen, but I sneaked open and tested a couple shades and they didn't look right. I would like something that I can just cover my spider veins a bit.

I'm not @ home right now but when I get back there I'll look at the name and post it.
I found it at Walmart around the make-up section and in a tall shiny goldish brown bottle. NO odor, No orange and No residue on hands. It covers great, stays on but will wash off during your bath/shower. Amazing stuff!

Is it the Sally Hanson line? I've used it & perhaps you're darker complected than I, but I felt it looked too fake... like a Barbi doll's legs... opaque & orangy-beige in it's coverage. If not, can you tell me which one you've found? Thanks PS!

it IS Sally Hanson.........I just checked. Honestly I love it and I'm pale. Over the years I have tried probably 50 different types of self tanners and ALL were awful. But I love this stuff.

Do you think it will cover spider veins? I don't want to apply it all over, just the few areas I have the spider veins.

Last summer I used Jergens Natural Glow, since I don't sunbath myself..I found it was easy to use and went on evenly and looked natural, I went with light and that allowed me to use more over a three day per get the results I wanted for my daughter outdoor wedding.. JERGENS® Natural Glow® Moisturizers

I do believe it will. It's a leg make-up as opposed to a self tanner. I love it.

Glad you're getting results, but it was already mentioned in the OP & by another poster. It smells nasty, as we both said.
