Some would rather have the "name" , although some of those names do seem to hold their value. I too would much rather have a handcrafted artisian item then a name brand one. To each their own though, not everyone understands what true quality is.

I like the new sleeker Coach bags: Urbane and Borough. Very modern and classic at the same time.

I buy high quality purses that don't have logos on them.

Fossil is not a designer brand.

Coach and Michael Kors. But I don't pay retail prices. I shop at the outlet stores, and get bags on clearance. I love the quality of the bags as well as the different styles.

From a purely design/aesthetic POV, I love Kate Spade.

I'm also a LV fan, they are incredibly durable and they hold their value quite well. I have a LV Neverfull that I bought several years ago -- 2009 or 2010, I think?) and that thing really takes a beating.

Not a fan of the more recent Coach stuff, but I still have the coach bag my parents bought me when I was in high school, and it's still gorgeous and looks terrific.

I have a black and white L.A.M.B. (the Gwen Stefani line) bag that I LOVE. It goes with practically everything.

I and my wife prefer these because the are more or less handmade and better quality than most mass produced "designer " bags.
You are right,

I also prefer Bexar and Marlandofor because they provide the quality and affordable designer bags.
