When I stop getting carded for lottery tickets and alcohol I will stop saying I look young for my age.

For Christmas, I was even carded at freaking GAME STOP for buying a game that was rated 'M' for my nephew lol smh. I was like I'm 24.... and the Sales Associate was like, "you can never tell with females these days...." LOL

The thing I hate most in normal conversations is being asked "How old do I look?" or "It's my birthday. I turn ___". Usually I lie and shave off 5-10 years or act shocked at their age when they tell me.

Same with people who posts pics of themselves and say 'You'll never guess how old I really am?!'

I know some people look younger for their age, but a lot of the times it's people being polite and lying. To me the majority of people look their age. I see their wrinkles in the face however small and can see the age of their skin.

I agree with the original poster; most people who believe they look younger are in denial, which is fine if it gets you through the day but someone who knows they look their age need be pitied. Regardless of your genes, cosmetic procedures, or healthy lifestyle, eventually if we live long enough, we all look our age.

I think I look pretty good for being 40.

OP, why do you think so negatively about everything?

I just let people guess my age before I tell them.

People always say "you probably look older than you really are".

Then, when they guess my age, they shoot about 5 years too low. So, I do look young for my age.

I'm reminded of what someone said today. They were talking about Alice on the Brady Bunch passing, and saying that when she was portraying Alice, she was in her 40's, but most women today about age 45 do not look that old. When I think of Alice, she seems at least early 50's to me. I think maybe people in the recent couple of decades have really changed the way they dress, style their hair, etc as they get into middle age.

If you don't want your boyfriend/husband to look like they're banging a jailbait or if you're digging for gold.
