Now that it is sandal season, I have been noticing women wearing their toenails long. At the nail salon recently, a couple of women were extending their toenails by getting nail tips.

I don't recall ever having seen so many long toenails. Is this the latest thing?

What do you think of these looks?

I think it's impractical unless a woman plans to wear nothing but sandals? That would be painful wearing closed toe shoes. I also find it unhygienic (prone to trapping dirt)

I think it's gross. I will say this, however. Just before I was getting ready to go on my cruise I went to get my pedicure done and I have a problem with my thumbnails and big toenails kinda ripping below the white area and my lady saw that and declared I could not go on the cruise with my toenails looking like that.

She put extensions on the big toe nails and then clipped and filed them down to look like normal sized and painted them and you would never know the difference!

I can understand using artificial nails if there's some sort of nail problem, but long toenails just for the sake of long toenails, nope! I would hate to get my nail caught on something. I wear sandals all the time but I keep my toenails shorter than the end of my toe.
