i have been doing a #1 or #2 cut (not down to skin) since i was like 17. still do it, just not as frequently, more like 2-3x a year and just let it grow in between. sort of like a lance armstrong except I don't dope.

To me, it's just another hair style, if having no hair can be considered a hair style.

Much better than a comb-over but I've seen a few guys with a full head of hair shave their heads. Their head-their choice.

The shaved head look only works for Michael Stipe. Otherwise I do not approve.

Having no hair is a hair style, I think. The guy has to remove the hair frequently to maintain the look of no hair. So many guys say they shave their heads because of balding, thinning, greying, or just unattractive locks that I'm inclined to believe that most guys shave their heads for those reasons, and not because of some particular attitude they might have.

eh, who cares, your head, your hair or lack of it and I think nothing of a hair style in relation to a spcific personality type.

I am honestly amazed at the amount of people in here who immediately make stereotypes based on a shaved head. It's like 1950 in this thread!

I like it, but prefer a tight buzzcut to a totally smooth head. The only time I don't care for it is when someone has a roll of flesh at the back of their skull, or a skull that isn't shaped nicely. Then it's better to keep some hair to cover that.

If in doubt, try a #1 buzz cut before shaving bald.

I am a man who did just that. Thank you.
Personally, I feel, nothing looks worse than a man clinging to leftover hair, coming up with funny streaks of what's left licked over boldy, toupees, or those clearly showing and artificially looking Stephen Seagal implants.
O course, have to eat from my wife, as she culturally believes that bold head = criminal. They shaved all hair off inmates heads back in my country. Hygiene purposes.
