Of all my designer handbags, the Guess one lasted the shortest time. It is actually the cutest one, though, and I get compliments on it all the time - even though it is looking worse for the wear. I wouldn't spend much on another Guess bag, as the poster mentioned earlier, they aren't real leather and the fake leather materials wear out too fast.

You get what you pay for. I agree with the poster who said not to worry about resale, just get the one you will like for a long time and use it till it's ready for the trash heap.

All good advice.

Steve MAdden and Guess make low quality bags. Typically pleather.

Do you have Marshals/TJ or TK Maxx or Ross? All of these places sell good brands for less.

Bags are fashion items meaning they are trendy. How do you carry the same one forever unless it is a classic sillouette like a DIOR Lady-D or such?

I agree with some of the others. Invest in a Coach or Some other high end bag. I've had several Steve Madden bags, and while they are cute, they are not that durable. I've found the same to be true of Guess bags. I'd put some extra money toward a high end, great quality bag that will last a long time.
