Something I have wanted to ask women is if they prefer wide or narrow shoulder straps on their sleeveless shirts and tops.

For guys, most sleeveless t shirts and tanks come with medium to wide straps.

Strap width actually is dependent upon shoulder size. If one has broad shoulders a thin strap will accentuate them making them look even bigger so you want to go with wide straps. A person with small/narrow shoulders will want to go with thin straps as they will do the opposite.

Neither but I don't wear sleeveless tops, never have liked them, even as a child.
I think they look great on others but none for me thanks.

Wide enough to cover my bra straps, but more importantly, with the armholes cut small enough not to have a bunch of side boob showing

It doesn't matter, as long as they're not spaghetti straps. As mentioned above, the more important factor is how deeply cut the armholes are.

I agree with Jade.

I am heavy up top and I can't wear skinny strapped bras like some women wear. I would love to be able to so that I can wear some of the tank type shirts that are out there, but I just can't.

Well, I can, but my bra strap shows..

Update, poll added.

Anyways, as a guy who wears sleeveless frequently in summer I prefer wide strapped with NEAT and WELL FITTED armholes. For me, it's the armhole size and cut which makes all the difference. I HATE raw cut and large armholes. Narrow strapped tanks are typically used as undershirts for button ups.
