I prefer my reflection as opposed to photos of myself. I look like a total stranger to myself in photos. Found the "flip" feature on my phone, so I'll download photos that I'm in and flip them so that I look like myself (or at least the way I look in the mirror).

That was an interesting article to read, but I have an extension to add.

I am taking a class on machine vision right now to understand how cameras and other imaging devices "see us differently". Hence, the way we appear in photographs may not be the way we see ourselves in front of the mirror. There is a lot of interesting optics, engineering, and math behind that .
