Folks,

Do you believe overweight folks (who bellies bit show up) get discriminated by people not only by opposite but also same-sex gender, even by straight people?

Of course they do, but so do socially awkward, ugly, and poor people.

I have been discriminated for being a woman. It's unfair but it's a part of life.

From what I'm seeing, yes. To a degree. This "discrimination" is from individual classes of people. I.E. the so called "beautiful people" disdain being overweight and classify it the the required personal looks one must have to join their honored ranks. Lol. With sexual attraction, like body types gravitate to each other. Fairly normal human behavior. But it is "discriminatory" .

With just friendship level interaction, no sexual motive at all, that doesn't play in near as hard. Personally, I have neither seen nor experienced body type make any difference as to people being friends. Well, not since second grade anyway. Lol

Sorry I made my thread question a little bit too vague and overgeneralized. But curious if you believe it also plays heavy role in just friendship level interaction even between same sexes (whether gay or straight).

No, I don't think overweight people are discriminated against, because in the vast majority of cases, overweight is something you've chosen to be.

NOT ALL, but most cases.

bs.

Most people that are overweight haven't chosen to be, in fact most would choose not to be.

I've been overweight my entire life, I've worked my ass off to lose weight and watch what I eat, but for the life of me I'll never be a skinny person.

I've got a friend that will consume twice as many calories as me per day, yet weighs about 40 lbs less than me.

Definitely. But that goes for anyone who may have features not seen as beautiful. Even race--like a black girl who liked her friend, and he said he enjoys hanging with her, but he doesn't and won't date black girls.

That happens to a girl I know. She thinks she's hot--hourglass shape, long hair, nice face, etc. Brags on herself alot. And she likes a guy-sleeping with him. But he has a girlfriend whom she says has an "apple shape"--fat I guess. Short hair, and stupid because she didn't go to college while she herself is in Law School. Yet despite her bragging on herself and looking down on this guy's fat girlfriend, she's the pathetic one. The fat girl has the hot guy, and she's the side *****. lol The hot guy cares for his girlfriend, ad snubs the hot chick, and only puts up with her for sex. Yet she still looks down on his girlfriend. Whenever she asks for advice on her situation of being a mistress, she always throws in that his girlfriend is too ugly for him.

So, some are just totally shallow. As if being fat means you don't deserve someone hot, or someone at all.

I used to be fat--but I lost the weight given how big is so frowned upon. At my biggest I was 150-165. Somewhere between there. I forget the exact weight. Now I am 124. WHich is still big, but I am working on it. I managed to keep constant weight for years thus far, only going up then back down sometimes--but only by 2 lbs. lol
