The other day I noticed a T-Shirt my husband was wearing said, "Memphis In May Intl BBQ Competition 2000" on it, and it hit me that that was 14 years ago!

I also found a football T-shirt that said 1998 on it. He washes and wears it regularly, and it's in good condition.

I had an Old Navy 4th-of-July shirt from 1999 that I loved, but it got a hole in it around the glittery American flag.

What's the oldest souvenir-type T-shirt you have that's still in YOUR rotation? Do you keep it because of sentimental value, because you like the fit, or both?

#5 1978 Day on the Green. I wear it only once a year now and hand wash only.

I actually have several but the others are sealed as collectors items.

I don't and never have worn T-shirts like that. I have this thing about not giving somebody else free advertising via my clothing.

I have been wearing this T shirt since 10th grade.

http://www.city-data.com/forum/membe...203-230646.jpg

My age is 21, and I am still growing fast. Hence, I really cant hang on to clothes for very long .

Its made using Tirupur cotton in India, and perfect for hot summers. I bought it fresh from the factory warehouse for just USD 0.90.

If you grow too fast, Adi, you may end up like this!

Now, my growth spurt has finally flattened. Perhaps the clothes I purchase now will stay for longer as long as quality is good and I stay in shape. In 2000, I was 7 year old child who loved swimming .

I work with a guy who has a 1980 Jackson Browne tour T-shirt. I only know what it is because once upon a time, the lettering on it was still readable. He's been wearing it once every week or two as long as he's been here (since 1986). Its so threadbare you can see his skin right through it!

True Story: I have a rather thin tee shirt that my sister got me when she went to the original Woodstock Concert...way back when...I can't count the times my wife has tossed it out...but it keeps coming back...finally I told her.."unless you want to start losing your wardrobe...stop trying to lose mine".. so now when she sees it she mutters.."disgusting" but....it doesn't get tossed she said once..."if you go before I do...You will be buried in that shirt"....I said.."Awesome..cuz at least I will have a shirt on"...I think she got the point
