I hate ff sandals. So giving them up isn't an issue. I don't live near a beach, or anything. lol And I rarely wear shorts, but still do them more than sandals, which I only wear when I get my toenails done. Then they come off, and are thrown away.

I have hot feet, and need to open em up. So sandals all the way.

Although Ideally, I would prefer the entire "comfort package" when its 100 F (once in 5 year occasion). Muscle tee, shorts, and sandals to show off my cute shoulders and muscular quads .

I only wear shorts around the house. What 65 year old woman looks good in shorts? I know...some do wear them. To me, flip flops would be simple to replace with some other kind of sandal. I rarely wear flip flops. In the house, I wear ballet slippers.

Flipflops/sandals look stupid on a man. I would give them up. I wear shorts in the winter occasionally if we have a warm day (here that means 55ish to qualify as "warm" during the winter.)

You can wear shorts with closed shoes... like flats or sneakers, but it looks silly to wear long pants and flip flops or sandals.

Did I miss something? Is there a memo about not driving in flip flops?

My 77 year old mother looks fantastic in shorts! She goes to the gym several times a week.

Earlier post asked something like "ever try driving in flip flops? It feels wrong"

I do it all the time with no problems.

I don't think that the law would let me walk around without wearing shorts but I definitely would never give up on wearing flip flops
