That said, if she's a size ten she had better be seven feet tall, no way that photo is a size ten person unless it's a girls' size ten.
She is likely couture size 10, which is similar to wedding dress sizing (Gap or Ann Taylor size 6.)

I think size 10 is considered plus size which is insane. Back in the 60's women aspired to be size 10-12 which was considered average. Even number sizes were "misses sizes" until you got to around size 20 and then you were 'women's sizes." Odd numbers were "juniors."

Somewhere along the line, someone made up "plus sizes" and started them at size 10 I think. Ridiculous. I wish women would stop accepting this nonsense and just buy whatever fits. To Hell with numbers!

Marilyn Monroe was what size?

OT - I am 5:10 5:11, do not like water, pool party so I show up in a very short sun dress and matching hat (Texas), 16-18, the conversation between a friend and her husband was pain full "told you she is a full size *** and cannot get into a swim suit". I am life guard qualified.

I went from 16 to 6 and back to 16. As long as SO has no problems - I finally have cleavage. Took me long enough!

Btw, this is in no way to diminish from her own natural beauty.

Plus size???? Does that make the rest of us "morbidly" obese? She is stunning and in no way looks plus sized.

Yes, she's taller and has a larger frame than the average model

But she's still slimmer than the average American female. I have a feeling women would still complain if models looked like her or even Cindy Crawford since they are far from what the avg American woman weighs or looks like

That said, she's not plus sized in real world USA. But she's plus sized in the fashion industry

Taller is not better in fashion

Size 10-12 in the 50's and 60's is not the same as today. Too many women try to pull the Marilyn was a size 12, but her waist was a 22/23 inch

Vanity sizing changes things

All I see is a tall skinny woman with a larger then average chest. Her breasts and her frame make her "plus sized" but not what I would consider to be a traditional plus sized model.

She's an embodiment of that one anecdotal example that people will bring up whenever any "discussion" comes up about what is and isn't plus sized to make a point or blow people's minds.

Did you see her chest? That's no 12-year old's chest! It's hard to tell about her shape, because she's hiding herself behind those folded arms. We can't see what her waist is like. She looks like her top part is a bigger size than the bottom.
