I'm a woman, but I've had good luck with wide widths from payless. They may not be quite as wide as you need though. Nordstrom Rack would be my other suggestion.
For men?
Maybe double E, tops. I would be stunned if they carried any wider as there is not much of a market for them.
Bigger than an EE width are very difficult to find...
This scares me. Here is one description I was kind of interested in:

This style tends to run narrow. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.
Whoa!
I didn't look but I can't see them paying the multiple times back and forth shipping until you get a good fit, if you get one at all. Unless one has actually bought them I'd strongly advise against. I learned my lesson and will never do that again.
Thanks everyone for the advice. I don't have a weird size (size 9) but the 4E is a killer. Plus I have a broken toe currently and my right foot hurts more than my left foot lol.
I've tried mail order and shoes are something I hate buying online. I'll find something.
ETA: I think I'm going to try SAS and/or Rockports. There's an SAS outlet store about a half hour from me and these from Rockport look promising (not too sure if they're dressy enough, but comfort is my number one priority.)
No sure if it was mentioned but check out wideshoes.com.
This is the web site for the Hitchcock company which specializes in wide shoes for men. A friend turned me onto the site and they even have a catalog you can order. Find the section for dress shoes - they have some very good looking shoes.
