Well, I'm pretty cheap when it comes to makeup (I'm definitely not into the fancy stuff).

I buy Maybelline eyebrow pencils.

Thanks, will check the Maybelline display(s). Only found Revlon at $9.50 at our local CVS. Used Maybelline for years though; they sharpened so well.

Lipstick and blush

I would love some good eye make-up, but the 2 times I had it done, one professionally, I didn't like the look. So, I need to play around with this myself I guess. The lipstick and blush are somewhat improving. Some great eye work would really be popping.

I never wore much makeup, but as I've gotten older I feel like my eyes "disappeared". I went to Sephora and got an eye makeover. The young woman who gave me the makeover gave me some good tips. She overdid the makeup a little for my taste, but it gave me a great starting point and good colors. I'm so glad I went even though I was a little embarrassed since I'm not really a "girly-girl".

I only have 2 items I can't go without:
Mascara
eye shadow, which I use as eyeliner (I find eye liner pencils are too harsh looking on me.)
