You're a young guy. You can live with four pairs of shoes. If you have one pair of sneakers/running/gym shoes, one pair of casual shoes, one pair of flips or sandals and one pair of dress shoes, you're OK.

Since you're a student, I'd imagine that you wear athletic shoes or casual shoes most of the time. Start shopping and shop well. You'll find a quality shoe for a decent price.

I have 2 pairs of sneakers, one pair of dress shoes, and 1 pair of flip flops. The sneakers are wearing out, and need replacement.

In NJ, I also owned a pair of boots, due to cold winters.

To answer the OP's question: over 41

...and considering I'm a size 12 and can't shop for shoes in a retail store, I have quite the collection. Just received a pair of over-the-knee lace up boots yesterday.

No, just Amazon here, at present. Though I've been considering setting up an account on Zappos. They appear to have a better selection of Things that Might Actually Fit Me than the present-day Amazon could hope to have.

Today before reading this thread I threw out an old pair of Geox trainers..loved them they were so comfy but have had their day... so out they went..however I have three pairs of high heels, all new that I know Ill never wear as they dont fit properly and I dont go many places now to wear high heels.. might take them ot the charity shop... got five pairs of wedge heel boots that I love as comfy and nice... not expensive ones but I like them.... four pairs of wedge loafers and a pair of white trainers that were expensive but never felt comfortable to wear..so hate throwing them out so their still in the cupboard..a pair of white paver mules. and two pairs of slippers..

Zappos is owned by Amazon. I love my Amazon (I'm a Prime member and use them weekly), but when it comes to shoes for me and my family, I much prefer Zappos.

Really? Is it possible to log in to it using your standard Amazon account, then?

(That may save me some time right there.)

EDIT: Yes, looks like it is.

I have 2 pairs: one pair of flip-flops and one pair of espadrilles. My sneakers fell apart in Summer (repaired them multiple times but eventually they were beyond repair). So I guess I need more shoes, too. But I'm just too cheap to buy some.

^-- Black Doc Martins or black high-top Chucks. There's nothing at once sexier and classier, I think, than a girl in a dress like that paired with Docs or Chucks.

I say this with 100% sincerity.
