I havent used the entire boots product line, but their 4 in 1 face cleanser wipes are the best ive ever tried and their calm skin redness is amazing. i have very sensitive skin and have had no problems. sorry i cant address more specifically
I really like the face cleansing wipes from their Botanics line. I keep a package of them at my BF's house and I always use them for travel, too. (fewer products to pack, takes up less space.)
I've used the Perfect and Protect cream before. I liked it okay, I didn't react to it, but there are products I like better. It's a great buy for the price, though.
The Triple Age Renewal Facial Serium from their organic line is nice, too. Very lightweight.
The problem (IMO) with this kind of stuff, just like the Olay products, is that there are so many items in the product line it makes it difficult to choose. Boots No. 7 was mentioned on Dr. Oz, but I'm not sure which product. I want something that will address aging, brown spots, and dry skin. Mary Kay works well for me for decades, but maybe thus stuff is better.
I think I want a night cream, a light cream for under face powder/blush, a cleanser, and maybe something to deal with the special problems of aging, but which? If you buy a serum, when do you do that?
When I could no longer justify the cost of my favorite Estee Lauder moisturizer, I switched to Oil of Olay, but this last time I needed to purchase a day cream, I decided to try the Boots 7 line. The one I chose is Restore and Renew Day Cream. I love everything about it except for the fact that it is super-scented. I still use the Oil of Olay serum under the moisturizer. The bottle says you're supposed to use the serum at night, but I like the way my skin feels when I user the serum under the moisturizer and then apply my make-up.
I also recently started using the Boots 7 power blush and like that as well.
Here's the post about these products, which makes me want to stick with Mary Kay:
A study in the "2004 Journal of Toxicology" found that "...18 out of 20 breast tumors contained significant concentrations of parabens." Study researchers added that almost all of the tumors tested originated from products applied to the skin (like deodorants, creams, or body sprays).
One of the primary dangers behind paraben ingredients is their ability to disrupt normal hormone function (by adding outside estrogen into the body). 65 to 85 per cent of breast cancer tumors are estrogen receptor positive.
Parabens go by many different names, including butyl, ethyl, methyl, propyl, isobutyl and isoprobyl parabens. This product contains the first five on this list of six.
The cosmetic industry has continued to declare that parabens are not absorbed into the body. Draw your own conclusions.
