I do think people tell other people that they look younger to compliment them.

I think I get told I look younger because of my personality and the way I dress, coupled with very few wrinkles.

I'd never suspect that people really thought I was much younger if I hadn't gotten so many blank stares when I mention that my son is in his twenties. When I tell people I have a 13yo, they look at me like that's normal.

I had my son when I was 22. He's 24 now. People give me the "you must have had him in high school" look most of the time. They appear truly bewildered.

I know very few great actors, so I trust that some people assume I'm about 5-10 years younger than I am.

Which is not the same as a woman thinking she passes for 25 when she's 40. That would be a rare thing indeed.

I did have a teacher at my son's high school ask if I was my son's older sister when I was 38 and he was 16. LOL.

It's no big. The takeaway isn't how old someone perceives you to be. It's whether they perceive you to look good for your age.

Which is what I said earlier when I chose pie.

Btw? Losing weight does make the face look older. The fat plumps it up and makes it look more youthful.

Depends if I dye my hair or not. When dyed people assume i'm in my late twenties.

Most of u said u look younger. lol.

and very very very few said older (at least they're honest)

If i were to actually see any of u I'd venture to say that most ofu either look ur age or older.

most ppl look likecrap after a long day of work. Haggard, decrepid, dried-out and ew

You assume that everyone has to work long days.

So, do you think you look your age or older?

I posted a pic of myself here over the summer and let the beautifu ppl of city data be the judge and some said I looked older, some said younger, some were spot-on.

I'd say I like within three years of my age. older or younger depending on the day...the lighting, how well I've slept, etc.

I'm 34, and think I look right about 34. I think I am "younger" at 34 than my dad was. I think it has to do with interests and style though. I have a pretty casual style and while I don't think I look younger, I think I am a "youthful" 34.

People are being polite most of the times. Yes there are people who look younger for their age but the majority look their age. Take away the make up and dyed hair and we can't hide from the years on us.

I would venture to say most people don't comment on your age AT ALL, positively or negatively, they just avoid such compliments. And who really goes around ASKING? If you're the type of person who goes around digging for compliments on how well you've aged, I'd say you deserve whatever frank responses you get.
