What a carry on Ive had trying to find some non toxic water based nail varnish in UK shops, some were for dogs. some for children but none for adults.... why I dont know. as if its dangerous for animals and kids then its dangerous for us too... I eventually did find some and have ordered the Stella McCartney one.. pricey but I cant use the other stuff full of dangerous junk.....it stated on it, Good for pregnant women, or nursing women.. but nothing about people with cancers, breathing problems and other illnesses made worse by toxins.. I wonder why.. if anyone knows other brands in the UK can you let me know please... Chanel now do one... and about time other companies followed .

I am not sure about totally water based formulas, however I have found a brand called Mineral Fusion that is vegan, has pretty colors and wears well. You might also check out No Miss, they have some nice colors as well and are supposedly non toxic. OPI also is supposedly free of many nasty chemicals.

I love OPI...but I always have to use a topcoat with all those nasty chemicals to make my manicure last.

Why can't you use the children's nailpolish?
