I want to look into tightlacing, but most important i want it to help with my back problems and posture

I already wear a Squeem vest, but it is no longer tight.
I bought 2 already;the first one,the rubber ripped and the second one the plastic pieces came out,not sure how.

I'd really like to try a corset, but my sister had really bad health problems after wearing them regularly, so I'm afraid to try it.

What kind of health problems? Is she sure they are related to wearing the corset? Also, was she tightlacing? If you do that, it is important to tighten gradually. Tightening suddenly will cause problems. Fit is also quite important. A corset needs to be fitted to your exact measurements. As in everything, discretion is key. I love my corsets. I'm even ordering a new one for my wedding blouse. OP, I suggest you go for it. I have heard they can help with certain orthopedic problems but I have no experience with that personally. I just love them because I find them beautiful and sexy. I like this corset company myself. She can make corsets according to your measurements and you can choose from tons of colors and fabrics, including fabrics that can handle tightlacing:

She started having problems with bleeding under the skin (purpura) from the waist down, which would sometimes break open and form deep ulcers that required a lot of care. She had to see a bunch of specialists (rheumatologist, oncologist, hematologist) and they never determined the cause, but now it only happens if she wears a corset or tight shapewear for a day, so she's pretty sure it was related to the corsets.

I clean by misting with plain vodka and letting it air dry.
