It seems very easy for young White and Asian girls to get a million views after a month. It doesn't even have to be informative. Just a basic makeup video, and viola, tons of views. I wonder if they get a lot of money from these views.

I am guilty of watching several makeup gurus on YouTube. Some of them are really talented and it's fun watching other people put on makeup. Even the haul videos are fun. And I do know that several of these makeup gurus make thousands of dollars a month from advertising. Must be nice lol.

Demographic/demand. There isn't as much of a demand for those "more informative" videos....there are millions of girls out there that want to see the aforementioned makeup videos.

It's nothing more than a way to stroke one's ego, reading gushing comments about how hot and sexy and beautiful you are.
