I don't think you look pudgy, but I agree with a few posters who frowned on the cropped (hoisted up) shirt/blouse/sweater. Mod cut: referenced to a deleted post. Here's my idea for a casual date jeans outfit: Nice fitting jeans (yours look good), a tucked in button-up silky blouse with a few buttons undone (to hint at your cleavage, not a full-on show), a good quality leather belt, a few bangle bracelets, neat/manicured nails, and snappy/fun shoes or lightweight boots with a low to medium heal (for comfort's sake). No stilettos! I agree about no tennis shoes, too (unless it's for an outdoor/hiking/walking date---then go ahead with the tennis shoes). Just my two cents! Have fun!!!

I happen to come across this....looks cute and fun, too!

Yea that's a no, imo. Not flattering at all - you're very small but sorry, you don't quite have the perfect model body which is the only type that can pull of crop tops. Plus the outfit in general looks very teeny-bopper. Like people said, switch out the top for a longer, feminine one that covers the crotch, add a cardigan and some jewellery and some cute flats or boots.

Your figure is fine, however the top is incredibly unflattering, I would never wear that on a date. There have been a lot of good suggestions here for alternatives, hope you find something else.

Certainly wouldn't hurt in the OP's case.

no sense in not being honest here so, yes, based on this one picture and the outfit you are wearing, you look pudgy. the problem is you are wearing an outfit that focuses attention on your midsection, but your midsection at this point in time is unworthy of attention. not a good look. if you are dead set on wearing this type of outfit you need to either lose 5-10 pounds or go on an extreme exercise routine to firm up the flabby midsection. but the more realistic approach would be to find a style that focuses attention away from your flabby midsection.

OP, I don't think you are pudgy, but the top isn't accentuating your figure either. I agree with the posts above with the crop top high waisted skirt look. That can look great on a variety of figures. Your sweater hides your shape and the jeans hit you at the worst point for that sweater. If you want to wear jeans, pick a better top. If you want the sweater, try a high waisted skirt.

And unless you're like 18 or younger
, crop tops are a little sleazy for a date anyway - what are you trying to convey?
I'll go as far as 25 and athletic.

@ the OP: My final verdict is going with Script kittens advice if you choose crop tops for a date.

Why stop at 25 ? I'd extend it to 40 .
