Structured, structured, structured, only.

Currently carrying Rebecca Minkoff's Amorous Satchel......I have found it to be a perfect size and shape for me...

Slouchy. I like softer materials as well. Like a PP, I like interesting colors. Really love stuff like Vera Bradley and Lilly Pulitzer. I don't mind more structure if it is a crossbody bag though. Weird I know

I have a strong preference for structured bags. Right now I have a MK Hamilton that looks pleasantly matronly.

I like a classic, structured, handled satchel (just like the ones in your pictures) to carry in the hand or crook of the arm. I have always carried these types of purses (used to raid my grandma's closet for them as a teenager - she had some nice antique ones - still buy the old ones). I have never had a slouchy purse - don't like them at all.

I prefer structured. Lately, though, I've been going purse-free as much as possible, so my real favorite purse is pockets .

I like a lot of the fabrics of unstructured bags. So I tend to look for those and add some boning inside for a little stiffness and reinforcement.

I'm generally purse-free these days, but when I do carry one, I prefer structured. I did, at one point, have a hobo-type but the item I needed in a hurry was always at the bottom of the bag.

I learned that the really big bags only encourage me to carry everything I own, running the risk of losing it all or wrecking my back. A moderate size that will hold wallet, keys, phone, glasses, pen, tissues, change purse, pill box, - oh, never mind. Just give me big pockets.
