In a story that seems ripped from the pages of Weekly World News, or maybe just Captain America, we now learn of a comics fan who’s had subdermal implants, tattoos and part of his nose removed in an effort to make himself look like the Red Skull.

Suddenly, that Superman fan who’s undergone numerous plastic surgeries to resemble the Man of Steel doesn’t seem so extreme, does he?

Waste of a good nose. If he'd pulled it off, I still would find it odd, but at least I could say "Mission Accomplished!"

Would have been cool if he was able to pull it off, but instead, he just look ridiculous.

And now the married father has gotten his wish
I guess his wife's okay with it, and I hope his kids are old enough to not be completely freaked out. And even though there's a body modification community out there, but I wonder what this dude does for a living. Nothing corporate, I imagine.

There are so many problems with this I don't even know where to begin. My first thought was, won't getting his nose removed greatly increase the chances of him getting, not only sinus infections and various other nasal problems, but possibly even bacteria into his brain, and maybe cause meningitis or encephalitis? Secondly, no plastic surgeon should have agreed to do this. That in itself is malpractice. (Oh, nm. I just read his friend, a medical school dropout, did the nose removal). Some people who are really into body mods do subdermal implants, and even though they look gross, they are safe to insert and keep under the skin. And what about future employment? For posters who ask people with tattoos about their concerns about future employment, this guy takes the cake. There have to be some psychological issues going on.
