I'm revamping my wardrobe and looking for stylish flats that are also a true comfort shoe. I don't want paper-thin soles and beds, but also don't want round toed/lug soled granny slip-ons either. I don't have any unusual foot problems - just the normal ones any "woman of a certain age" has - lol! Has any one found all-day wear flats that would look cute with skinny ankle jeans or skirts and are made well? I'd also like color options - and maybe a leopard pair! Thanks!!

I really like the Kenneth Cole Collection flats. Get the ones with the 925 technology.

Also Cole Haan.

And Puma!

That's always the unicorn I am chasing..... I wore heels all my life and it was a part of my look. Then I got arthritis in my feet (not related) and FM and have switched to flats. Which sucks in your 40s.

I have a bunch of gel insole tennies, not fashionable but comfortable.... I have some cute flip flops that are pretty cushy (it's Hawaii, it's standard footwear), and then any cute sandals that have really flat bottoms I put in the stick on sandal cushions that help, and don't show. Otherwise boots come in adorable styles that are flat and comfortable, and one of my favorite fashions (not really feasible here). I have had a horrible time finding any ballet flats that I find comfortable for a variety of reasons. Things like sketchers can be cute.

I also have flat ankle high boots that are comfy and work with different outfits.

Skechers are the best compromise I have found. They're not perfect, but they can fill a gap between slipper-soled ballet flats (which ensure painful plantar faciitis flareups for me), and orthopedic, Naturalizer-style "sensible shoes."

Just bought some cute sandals - very comfy - from S.A.S. (San Antonio Shoes). Yes they have the old lady shoes, but also have regular ones.

THANKS ALL!! Wonderful suggestions! I'm liking the Puma & Kenneth Cole and will check out the SoftWalk and Sketchers. Also will look at the SAS - always thought them to be "your great grandma's sensible shoe", but sounds like I was wrong. I also kicked my heels to the curb - just didn't feel confident on my feet in them anymore. The gel insole insert is also a wise suggestion!

They're not cheap but recently my wife has gotten on to Frye shoes. (They are better know for engineer boots) she says their flats are the most comfortable she's ever worn.

Antonio Melani's Prima Flats are the only flats I wear lol. The first time you wear them you'll get a little bit of red skin but you gotta break almost all shoes in at some point. They're worth it. I also added Target's heel cushions to the back of them for even more comfort. The shoes sell for 60 and come in beige, tan, grey and black. I have all except grey.
