I have been buying Levis 505s for the last few years . I am curious what number other guys buy? I have thought about trying 501s. Really maybe more of a "classic" or not relaxed look, especially in the seat. I did find some Lees that have been pretty good but still wish for more fitted seat. There is a Levi store in our outlet mall where I have gotten the 505s. Also, the 505s don't seem to shrink that much. My imagination?? Comments from any Levi wearers?
P.S. I have checked out the Levi web page. Just looking for personal impressions. Thanks
514s are a more "modern cut", if that's what you're looking for. If you go for 501s, go to their website and get the "Made in USA" 501s as they're much higher quality denim and will last longer, look better
I bought a pair at Costco recently. It wasn't until I got them home that I noticed that they were made out of some weird stretch denim. Those were returned immediately. I sure hope that the normal fabric will still be available in the future.

Costoco/Sams will only have cheap, low-end Levis. A Levis Store will have their premium denim.
I've got, ah dunno how many pairs of 505s, some 550s, and a pair of button fly 501s. I don't understand the differences, or numbers, I just know I hate such skinny jeans, and only wear any of them, unless all my regular pants are dirty. The 501s seem kinda wide legged, so tbey get a marginal pass.
Most of my husband's jeans are Levi's 501 button fly. They fit perfectly, and they look great. However, he has no butt or thighs to speak of.
