And for all the people who were complaining in the objectification thread that they didn't think that objectifying women exists or that it doesn't matter need look further than some of the demands on this board. Expecting a woman to alter her appearance based on what makes some guy horny is the epitome of treating women as nothing more than decorative objects.

This goes without saying. As a woman, I don't consult other people on what I wear.

This is true. You don't see or hear endless complaints from women about how men "just should...blah blah blah."
A woman might affectionately complain about her husband's old ratty T-shirts or something like that, but or the most part, we don't complain about how men dress.
It has gotten a little ridiculous. If you want a certain type of woman, go after her! Oh wait, the ones that you see that are *exactly* what you want aren't interested in you....maybe you should...(dress up more, dress up less, wear better accessories, stop doing this, stop doing that, start doing this, start doing that...)

Everyone has preferences. There is nothing wrong with that or expressing what you like or don't like. Meanwhile, "All women" aren't going to cater towards any particular preference nor should they. Anyone who wishes for that will be very frustrated

Women do complain about how men in general dress. It's just that they rarely speak in "shoulds" or start threads about it. Male-female communication differences, plus maybe men's greater upset at lack of physical intimacy makes men complain about appearance issues more. Also, women don't have to start up about it as much, because men often openly ask for their feedback and sometimes adjust based on it. Why don't women do the same? Women ask other women (despite general lack of mutual sexual interest there) and often believe the nonsense marketers tell them about style. Maybe it's that women often overrate their style knowledge?

I'm gonna go ahead and make an ultimatum, for everyone and anyone. These rant threads are of no use. People are gonna do things you don't like. Just suck it up, deal with it, and ignore. I learned that from my dad at age 5. Instead, getting hot headed and playing the put down game is just going to cause more and more retaliation till violent insults to break out. Please, we have had enough of this already over here. Quit it and move on.

I think women should do whatever the want to do and they'll attract the men who are okay with that. Who wants someone who isn't okay with you?

My second husband loved everything about me until an hour after the wedding ceremony. From then on nothing was ever quite right. I finally gave up after 6 years.
