It's about time! Paris France the heart of the fashion world is taking steps to ban the use of anorexic models and fine those who hire them. They have already adopted measures banning pro anorexia websites and forcing companies who alter photos of models to make them either look thinner or if they are too thin look larger to post a notice of it , now they are showing the world that hiring models noticeably too thin is not okay anymore

Countries like Israel and Spain have already taken similar action but it is hoped that seeing it being done in a fashion industry leader like France will send a strong message to the rest of the fashion world.

Default Good move

These stick figures are absolutely atrocious-looking.

Never was a fan of the "cadaver look". I personally wouldn't go as far as making it illegal to hire models that look like emaciated boys, but I am glad that the fashion industry is moving away from that. Extremes are undesirable. Women shouldn't have to look like stick figures or baby elephants.

Who really cares? But what about the girls who are naturally skinny? They are all anorexic.

I wonder why it's taken so long for people to figure out that stick
figure skinny people aren't healthy looking & definitely not sexy.
It's wonderful that Paris is doing this (I love the French )
I've got major curves....especially on the bottom.....
The sheer number of compliments I get confirms to me that people are drawn to healthy yet curvy shapes.

I'm really happy about this. It would be nice to see women that actually look like the rest of us. Sorry I have an ass. Oh wait sorry I'm not sorry.

And as for the women who are naturally skinny? Well that's not all of them is it? The pros outweigh the cons here. If models become normal looking maybe it will stop women (and young girls) from hating themselves after opening a magazine or watching a runway show.
