Wear whatever clothing you want, so long as it's tasteful. But if you have a belly button ring, please keep it concealed.

Thank you, ladies.

Rubbery platform flip flops--but then I don't think anyone should wear platform flipflops. They look stupid unless one is at the beach.

I don't subscribe to the idea that a woman should stop wearing certain things because she is older. I think dressing according to body type and size is a better rule to follow.

There are no hard and fast rules, young or old. Each body shape looks good in certain outfits and some don't.

IMO, too many people follow what's in style at the time, rather than what looks good on them.

A woman over 50 who has always dressed herself well, will know what not to wear. No one has to tell her.

FYI, I once founf a booby magazine in the tool box of one of our body shop techs years ago. He was in his mid forties. The mag featured ladies all over fifty, and they were all SMOKIN' HOT.

I'm a 50 something woman. There is plenty I won't wear because I don't think it's appropriate. That's my choice. I don't care what other women wear, although yeah, I've done an internal eye roll or two (thousand) when I see that classic "mutton dressed as lamb" look. I think that women who try too hard to look younger usually look older instead. But if they're happy with how they look, what difference does it really make to anyone else?

As an over 50 woman myself, the first thing I wear is confidence!

My rules now, and always are as follows:

Dress age and body appropriate! What's tasetful, what flatters you, what plays up your best features. Will work best for you at any age!

For the poster who commented on hair length, that's a bunch of %$##&*
Hair length should be based on face shape, and what sytle/color flatters you
best! I have long, curly hair, well styled and colored, guess what I get complemented
on all the time , by young and old, man and woman!

You have to feel for someone in their 50's/60's who wear things that are "not appropriate" for them....but then again, there are people WAY younger than that who insist on wearing things "not appropriate" for their size/build that are JUST as bad.

I think spandex, leggings, daisy duke shorts and crop tops as well as mini skirts and see thru blouses should NOT be made beyond a certain size for ANYONE regardless of age....
