Shorts and a T-shirt can look great, too. That's not necessarily "dressing down". I always make a point of dressing attractively when I go out to do errands.

Most women I know (including my wife) dont really care, they/she just throws on some yoga pants and some kind of shirt and its off to run the errands.

No. I'm only self conscious if I haven't showered or bathed. Otherwise, I don't care what I look like when I shop at Target or run to the post office lol. South Florida is pretty casual in general. Flip flops, tanks and cut offs are worn among the wealthy and not so wealthy so it's not a big deal here.

I don't dress up to run errands, but I make sure that what I wear is clean, neat, and coordinated. I also make sure my hair is combed and I have on some makeup.

I try to run errands before or after gym or pilates, so I'm usually wearing yoga pants and tank top. Mascara, blush, a little lip tint maybe. I've often worked in ERs so I think "what if I had to go the ER in this?" You never know.

Nope. I run most of my errands on the weekends. I will shower and brush my teeth, but usually do not wash my hair on Saturdays. If I'm thinking about it, I will pull my hair out of my pony, brush it, and re-pony it. But sometimes I forget, so I suppose it might be a little messy. Oh well. It's getting to be the season for shorts and tanks, so that is what I wear. In the colder months, it's jeans or athletic pants and a tshirt or sweatshirt. I never wear makeup, ever. If I am working in the yard and in my gardens and realize I need something from the garden center, I just hop in my car and go. I might have dirty hands .....oh well. I'm working!

I care that it's clean. Other than that, not really.

Nope, don't really care. Well, I guess I care enough to make sure I'm dressed and my hair isn't completely heinous, but other than that... no. Of course, the worse I look, the more likely I am to see people I know.
